Who we are
We are a Christ-centered community committed to restoring dignity, hope, and purpose to vulnerable young people through faith, compassion, and service.
Lovers of Christ Communities Association (LCCA) was founded by Jeremiah Somtoochukwu Obiano. It is an association within the Catholic Church dedicated to accompanying young people who are facing difficult life situations, particularly those affected by imprisonment, social exclusion, homelessness, unemployment, and other personal struggles.
Inspired by the Gospel, the association seeks to reveal the love and compassion of Christ through friendship, support, healing, and opportunities for personal growth and reintegration into society.
At LCCA, young people are not seen as problems to be managed but as persons created in the image and likeness of God, worthy of dignity, love, opportunity, and hope. Through faith-based support, community outreach, mentorship, and practical assistance, we strive to help vulnerable youth discover their God-given potential and build meaningful lives.

Our mission is to restore the dignity, hope, and potential of vulnerable youth through faith-based support, practical opportunities, and loving community.
Inspired by Christ’s love and rooted in Catholic social teaching, we accompany young people facing imprisonment, homelessness, unemployment, social exclusion, and other difficult life situations. Through mentorship, spiritual guidance, community support, and opportunities for personal growth, we strive to ensure that every young person is valued, supported, and empowered to build a hopeful future.

Our vision is to see every young person live with dignity, purpose, and hope in Christ.
We envision a society where vulnerable youth are welcomed, supported, and empowered to flourish within loving communities, discovering their God-given gifts and contributing positively to society.
Founding Inspiration
The Story Behind Lovers of Christ Communities Association
As a child, I experienced hardship firsthand. Although my parents provided for our needs, life was not easy, and I learned early the values of hard work, perseverance, and faith in God. I also knew what it meant to be without a home, an experience that shaped my character and deepened my dependence on God’s grace.
As I grew older, I became increasingly aware that many young people around me were facing even greater struggles. I witnessed youths living on the streets, battling hunger, unemployment, rejection, and despair. Some found themselves involved in crime, not because they lacked worth, but because they were searching for a way to survive. Many ended up imprisoned, their dignity wounded and their dreams forgotten.
Yet beneath these struggles, I could see immense potential. I saw young people with gifts, talents, and aspirations waiting to be discovered and nurtured. Reflecting on my own journey and the blessings God had given me, I felt a profound call to serve those who had been overlooked and abandoned.
Inspired by the words of Christ, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” I founded Lovers of Christ Communities Association (LCCA).
LCCA is a Christ-centered community rooted in Catholic social teaching and dedicated to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity to vulnerable young people. We believe that every person is created in the image and likeness of God and deserves love, support, and the chance for a new beginning.
